Deer cannot move around very well in deep snow. Neither can I. Which I why I didn’t get very far in my quest to find the places where the deer had been hiding since Saturday’s blizzard. I did find a few hoof prints, but mostly I just confirmed that I had been the only human walking around out there these days.

As the big snow gradually melts away, I just noticed a single deer curled up in the bright sun in my backyard. She seems to have found a spot with a little earth emerging underneath a tree.
Thanks, Paula. Never hesitate to post a picture if you snap one.
