The Race is On

Spring’s hurrying to catch upwoodland wildflower

Spring forever fascinates me with how quickly it colors the landscape. This year is no exception. In fact, since winter didn’t give up without a fight, life seems to be responding at a hurried rate. A quick, unscientific browse through my photo collection revealed that many shaded blooms are about five days behind compared to the past two years. The race is on. Tiny woodland wildflowers must stake their ground before the aggressive invaders dominate. Hurry. Get outside. Don’t miss it, because the scene is changing fast!
