On my last post I wrote about humankind’s limited patience for Nature’s timeline. Today (on this longest day of the year) I give you another stark example of such eternal reckoning. I captured the following photos during my recent exploration of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in New York’s Hudson River Valley. First, they show the importance of thinking long-term whenever you plant a tree. Second, the scene forces me to ask, “Tree or headstone: which better represents perpetuity to you?”
