Clues

Walking in the drizzly mist with hood up and head down, still banished to the road by deer season, I couldn’t help but notice the man-made items at my feet. Some pieces had a pattern: five sets of mini zipper-style “dime bags”–their contents removed–or a scattering of banana labels–their peels now dissolved.

The two collections seemed to say, “this is when the driver finishes her banana,” and “this is a good spot to unload the paraphernalia.”

These are the clues to human consumption, left to be seen and considered by those who follow behind at a much slower pace.

What kind of tossed items do you see on your walk?
