Treasure in Our Midst

Business took me to Emmaus, Pennsylvania, so I took the opportunity to end the trip with a hike through one of the town’s natural areas, the South Mountain Preserve.

I’d driven within two blocks of the preserve dozens of times to visit my grandmother’s apartment and run errands nearby, but I never knew this gem was there. Today I decided to find the place I had heard about. Now that I’ve been, I can’t wait to return.

It just proves that you never know what treasures lie right under your nose, until you actually take the time to look.
