I met a friend to walk this morning. The macadam, township-park paths took us past nothing worth photographing on the gray, cold, Monday morning. Bored with the drab scene, our meaningful conversation became the focus. And given the fact that inactive adults have a higher risk for early death, heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, depression, and some cancers (according to the Centers for Disease Control) I was glad to be moving. Whether it’s to get outside and be dazzled by nature, to spend active time with a good friend, or simply to pump some blood through your body’s veins and mind, walking is just plain good for you.
