Yesterday my husband joined me on my walk after work (a benefit of the spring time change). While on the road, we got to meet a neighbor. He had moved in two doors down this past December, and I had been feeling guilty about not visiting to introduce myself and welcome him to the neighborhood. One never knows if people prefer to be left alone. Turns out the man was friendly after all, and my husband and I were glad to have finally greeted him. Building community: my daily walk bears fruit yet again.
