Every day is Earth Day

It’s not unusual for me to find and collect litter and other trash on my walks. Frankly, as my husband will agree, the habit can be a filthy pain in the neck. So it was exceptionally nice to get a tasty reward for participating in a local Earth Day clean up.

Moreover, it was liberating to engage in the task among the company of other like-minded citizens who aren’t afraid to get dirty for the Earth. And something tells me that many of the volunteers I met that day are like me, pitching in to protect the ecosystem every day of the year.
